Our Mission

To enhance the lives of independent home cleaners

Home cleaning is hard work and is often a thankless job.  Moreover, cleaners are challenged to find new customers, get paid fairly, and minimize unpaid time between appointments.  Not to mention working alone can be lonely.  And yet, tens of thousands of people choose to be home cleaners despite their daily struggles.  Let’s help them!

HurraHome's purpose is to support independent home cleaners.  We know they work hard and want to do a good job for their customers; they just need a little help.  So we find great independent home cleaners, introduce them to great people like you, and support them as they build long-lasting relationships directly with their customers!

HurraHome supports independent cleaners by:

  • Introducing them to new customers, closer to their homes
  • Ensuring they always make at least $17/hr + tips
  • Providing customer service if any issues arise
  • Insuring their work in the unlikely case of a serious accident
  • Connecting them to a community of other cleaners
  • Advocating on their behalf as the industry’s collective voice
  • Respecting, trusting and appreciating them for their efforts

 

Applying for B Corp Certification

Currently completing our Impact Assessment as we seek certification in summer 2018

B Corps are for-profit companies certified by the non-profit B Lab to meet rigorous standards of social and environmental performance, accountability, and transparency.  A certified B Corp is purpose-driven and creates benefits for all stakeholders, not just shareholders.

HurraHome's is currently pursuing certification.  We are committed to being the change we seek in the world.  We believe the home cleaning industry needs to be transformed to support the livelihoods of the home cleaners and their families - both financially and emotionally.
